Golden Goddess

There's nothing like waiting for a kettle to boil in winter and there's nothing like waiting for the sun to shine for Summer!!!!

Which brings my to one of my favourite colours for summer and that's gold...From bikini's..NO not for me but, golden tans, gold bangles, gold sandals, bags with gold trim...and then of course the gold coloured party dress...

I've had my gold sequin vest forever and I still absolutely LOVE it!!
I've got an apprentice named Amber...my 7 year old niece who loves clothing..especially mine!! So I stuck her in my favourite Gold vest with chunky gold jewellery...She Loved IT!!

Check it OUT!!!

There's nothing wrong with a bit of check....I love both summer and winter checks...It almost seems like the obvious winter design...from scarves, bags, gloves and even hats!!!
My most favourite is the red tartan type, although it's predictable it's great when you find it in an unpredictable style...Like the Ra-Ra dress I'm wearing....
My next fav item would be check or tartan stockings....As I've mentioned before...I have an obsession with patterned stockings...It's good to team this up with a solid ground colour look like plain black or choc...
Check you guys Later!!

Driving Me Ditsy

Now how can I resist a ditsy???
I can drive myself crazy about a ditsy flower dress....I've always loved it....hahaha I say that about all my clothes...but seriously...A ditsy dress is something I Love...And I love this dress because it has two ditsy designs combined!!
It's usually a winter design but, this summer with the vintage types fl orals I guessing we will see it everywhere...In Summer colours and in cooler fabrics...
In Brighter colours and in items like ra-ra skirts, shirts and dress....
OOH I like!!!
Have a Crazy Ditsy Day,

Shoulder Scenes

I'm getting way ahead of myself her but, I predict that the power shoulder was shunned this winter but, will be the hottest thing next winter...!!
I also think there will be focus on the shoulder this summer but, in a subtle way....Like a puff sleeve or bubble sleeve....
I posted previously about the power shoulder and how much I love it....FASHION VICTIM!!!lol...

But we wouldn't be reading this if we all weren't YES this means you Baby...
Anyway be a little brave...It gives you the illusion of a narrower waist creating a slimmer overall look!!!

See ya!

Winter Warmers

Here I am blogging about spring summer.....when all of a sudden we get rain pouring the entire weekend...!!!!

My fiance says there's nothing on the blog for men so I decided to surprise everyone with an update on the winter staples just in case this ghastly weather was gonna last longer than the weekend....
5 Winter Warmer Staples
1. A good leather jkt or a version....Damien is wearing a leather bomber with badges and I wore a satin biker....U know how I love shiny stuff!!
2. Good pair of skinnies...Better in a dark blue wash for winter...also can go into summer for a smarter less casual look!
3.Studded item....I wore studded bag, he wore studded belt.
4.Layering Item....He wore low vee button down t-shirt with another tee peep-out, I wore a hoodie under the jkt in case it got warm I could remove it...the summer layering item would be a waterfall cardi..they're every wear!!!
5.Ugg boots....Yes...they're my ultimate winter warmer....I even have a pair of ugg slippers with fur and velvet bows...I will not face winter without an ugg on my foot!!!!!
And there you have it...Let me know what are your 5 ultimate winter warmers are....I'd love to see or hear about them....

Romantic Military

I now realise that I might have an unhealthy obsession with the military Jkt.....I've maxxxed out the military theme....!!
Never-the -less...since it's apparent that I love military and love the vintage romance theme it would be a sin if I didnt combine the two and create a Romantic Military look....
I love wearing a skirt with a smart jkt and I'm obsessive with interesting stockings like the star patterned ones I'm wearing here...
They key is to underpin a great jkt with a neutral undertone everywhere else like a bottom or a tee......
Have fun mixing your themes up....

Black and Blush

Wow how lady like...Black and Blush...I'm crazy about the colout palette....!!!
I love how the high contrast makes the outfit much moe edgy and young....

I don't remember ever seeing this much blush around but, I love it and I suspect that it will be around in many forms form bags to shoes....

But most of all I love it in lace....
Love Lace....

Glamourzon

I'm most definitely not going to the Amazon but, I can say I've come very close....to the Glamourzon Trend that is....LOL!

I think it's almost natural for a South African to love animal prints but, the new way to do it is by updating the old with the new and adding khaki across lifestyles like Military and Now Ethnic too...

Every summer there's a very defining ethnic influence...this summer I feel like it will be Glamouzon with a khaki's and golds with a neutral undertone....

The casual cargos I'm wearing has stud detailing on it and to make the outfit pop a stunning metallic necklace is added....it's bold and punchy and I love it....

Somehow I'm feeling like khaki is the new black????
Go Glamourzon Girls!!!

Pinafore Please

I can remember pinafore's being matched with white stockings in my childhood years ....lol...!
But I rem loving them as much as I love the 60's/70's influence on fashion today. It almost never goes away in London as they are more reflective of their past than SA!!
Never-the-less...I still see some pinafore's here and there...So I pulled out an older one that has a skull and heart print on a grey ground which I still love...
I've pair it with a grey suede boot and grounded it with a black underbase...

It's that simple...You can make it more transitional by adding a white short sleeve and pumps to take you closer to summer when the mornings are still cold...

I simply love pinafores!!!

SO LADIES WEAR PINAFORES PLEASE!!!

Modern Military

Wow....Now talking about ageless.....I love the military look, its always been my one of my absolute favourites....I went to to navy festival earlier this year and there's nothing like seeing a guy in uniform.....They look so smart and chic...Some how I just felt safe and protected.....
That said there's prob nothing like wearing a military inspired Jacket to give you the edge to an outfit...!!!I simply gravitate towards a military button..or the sight of epaulets!!

I have a few good staple khaki jkts I love to wear but, there's definitely a khaki colour trend coming through in t-shirts, shorts and shirts fro summer as well....
They mixing it up with checks and other neutrals moving across trends like military and cowgirl....or military and glamourzon....

Let's go out and march to the beat of military inspiration!!!!
YEAH...

A Piece of France

A piece of Paris

I've always wanted to learn to speak French for some reason, I alomst think most girls do though....I've never go to it though....I did however find that as fashion is a universal language...I definitely love the nod to French Fashion......!!!
It immediately brings Coco Chanel to mind and how she's changed the face of fashion like nobody I can remember.....She's Iconic....!!

So naturally I almost feel obliged to move towards the most common Chanel inspired colour palette...Milk and Black....I absolutely love it! It's classic almost like a little black dress.....It's ageless!!!

The new or updated way to do it though would be to add pop of colour like red or een a dusty pink....and an introduction of greys also gives it a younger more youthful look!!

Even a hint of France by wearing a sequin beret.....

In the pics are my niece and myself rocking a piece of Paris!!!!
Jetaime!!

Headbands make Headlines......!

Ok. no I was never one to wear headbands...But you gotta love the variety that ae available....I've become absolutely besotted with them rescuing me form my bad hair days....I got a few from london a while ago that were more intricate but, SA has most def caught up and has exploded!!
No you remember that nautical theme thats coming throught for summer...headbands are now in red and navy stripes...Awesome....
My fiancé hates them..he says can't you rather wear a cap instead I hate this thing in the side of your head...(Which would possibly be a flower or a beaded motif..lol)
I hear him but, the inner girl in me can't resist...also they are sparkly man...you know how I love that!!!
I even make my niece wear them...she adores them too...and if I'm struglling to find something to match here outfit I make a nice headband by taking a flower corsage from a dress and put it on an existing headband....
